Untamed Attraction

As Taylor Swift said, “you don't know how long I've been waiting to see you,” and just like that, I was gone. Have you ever met someone and your brain said “no” but your body says “yes”? Yeah, all of a sudden, that happened to me when I was not even supposed to go for someone, and then there was this one Instagram notification, that one message, it changed the whole course. Turned everything upside-down. That's when I finally understood what untamed attraction really is. But I always wonder, where are these attractions going to take me? I catch myself having full conversations with that person, but deep down, I already know it's not going to last, or worse, I’ll end up as someone I don't even like. How stupid a person can be? Ignoring every red flag just because it’s that one person.

Untamed attraction feels like spoiling the ending of a book. You know where it’s probably going. But you keep turning the pages anyway. Because it’s not always about where it leads. It’s about who you become while you’re in it. If you’re in the middle of one right now, go easy on yourself. Feel it. Sit with it. Learn from it. And don’t beat yourself up for missing the signs. We’ve all almost drowned for someone. And we’ve all been pulled out too. But I want to know—Has this ever happened to you? That feeling you can’t explain. That person your head said “no” to. But your heart kept checking for their text anyway.
